Step-Up Surfboards

Step-up boards are there for you when the swell starts to get larger and the waves more serious, usually overhead and above you'll want a Step-up. Incorperating a pin tail and a narrow frame, this board will be more controllable and agile on the face of the wave while a touch of extra volume will aid in catching the wave in the first place. Due to having a narrower shape to it, these boards are easier to paddle which is essential when you're rallying up the speed to drop into a larger wave.

Step-ups are far from beginners board but are perfect to be used by those flying out to the Maldieves or Indo as a get away from the comparabley small English wave. However, on a big day in Britain, you may find yourself longing for the speed and control of a Step-up.
