The Rasta Quad, designed by freesurfing icon Dave Rastovich, is a medium size Speed Generating quad with a Ride Number of 8.5. The honeycomb construction combined with a V2 foil on the front fins creates a looser feel, allowing for high-speed surfing and quick direction changes. The bamboo in the base of the fin provides additional stability, for peak performance in high speed situations.
Honeycomb Construction:
A lightweight hexagonal core gives these fins the feel of glass-ons. Engineered with a medium flex pattern, these are stiffer than Blackstix but more flexible than Fibreglass.
Foil:
Flat foiled fins break free sooner, and are better at controlling speed. Often surfers prefer them in fast powerful surf where they do not need to create additional speed. If you have muscle memory from riding glass-ons, flat foiled fins will feel the closest.
